Music is like sculpture. It's like trying to capture a moment of ultimate momentum, and distil it forever. An invincible, sealed capsule of sound.
- Clark, August 2014
Clark’s eponymous eighth album for Warp Records is a chiseled vision of techno contextualized for a post-rave environment - the clean, cold edges of technology eroded over time to produce raw, fascinating new textures. These textures lay the foundations for a hugely kaleidoscopic listening experience filled with warmth. Who better to capture these textures and this world – for track ‘Winter Linn’ - than über director Christopher Hewitt? As well as directing the mind-bending promo, Hewitt shot the stills campaign on a suitably moody late Summer afternoon in London. The collaboration between the two Christophers has proved to be one of the most rewarding and revealing to date, with the minds of two artists truly in harmony.
